Response to the questionnaire

Replies were received from 53% of households in Blagdon and Aldwick. The age profile of people in households which replied was close to that of the local population as recorded in the 2001 census. The only slight skew was towards the oldest group, which represented 23% of the sample as opposed to 18% recorded by the census. The 26-45 year age group represented 20% of the sample, compared with 24% in the census. Nearly two thirds of households have lived in Blagdon for more than 10 years.
