Art workshop

Create work & generally enjoy yourselves at this drop-in Workshop for adults & children. Activities include picture-making with different media, iris paper folding & 3D decoupage. Come for the whole morning or just part of it.


Cake decorating

Come and learn how to make lovely flowers for decorating your cakes.


Write your life

We all have stories to tell. If you'd like to write about your life, come and join in this friendly workshop. No previous writing experience is necessary, nor will anyone be obliged to read their work aloud. The aim of the Workshop is to encourage each other and to enjoy writing together.


Bookbinding

bookThis Workshop will introduce you to a simple binding technique that you can do at home. It will be an 'open' book using decorative papers for the cover. Uses for the finished book could be a diary, sketch book, journal or day book to name but a few.


Singing

Come and join in with some madrigal singing - enthusiasm more important than experience.


Poetry

An informal workshop using basic creative writing techniques & group discussion to enable you to write a poem on the day around the theme of your village.


Morris dancing

Want to try Morris Dancing? Males and females are equally Handbellwelcome and you must be over 8 years old.


Hand-bell ringing

An introduction to enjoy the ancient art of hand-bell ringing learning basic techniques to play a simple tune. Minimum age 8 years old.

Starting at the Church with a brief talk on some interesting features (there is an extremely rare item which you may have seen but not realised how unusual it is!). About 2 miles at a moderate pace with several stops. Some steep climbs & rough terrain, possible mud in places.

A slow walk with some steep hills & rough terrain taking in different habitats, unmanaged pastureland, a sunken lane pre-dating 1066, wildflower areas & woodlands. Also reformation hedging, dated using the Hooper method.
