There are several ways you can keep up to date with Parish Council news

Blagdon Views

This is our own publication that comes out four times a year and is delivered to every household in Blagdon. It includes a guide to what each councillor is responsible for, and how to contact us. As well as information about your councillors and a behind the scenes view of council activities, there is a profile of a village organisation and each issue features subjects relevant to Blagdon, whether that’s environmental projects, proposed council spending or a review of the village survey. That’s not forgetting a quick roundup of council related activities.

If you’ve not received your copy please contact the Parish Clerk, Dave Woolley on T: 01934 838198 or E: parish.clerk@blagdon.org

The Parish Magazine

The local church magazine regularly contains a summary of the highlights of the monthly parish council meeting and news on current issues. It cost 50p and is available from the Post Office Stores, St Andrew’s Church or have it delivered to your door by taking out a subscription. For more information contact Sandra Nicholson T: 01761 462737

Village notice boards

The notice boards outside the School and Village Club are regularly updated with printouts of the agenda and summary of the monthly meetings, along with contact details and general information on parish and district council related activities.

We have our own section on the village website. The current agenda and meeting summary are available on line and there is an archive of downloadable pdfs containing the agendas, minutes and summaries of this and previous year’s parish council meetings.

There are councillor profiles (with pictures, so you can spot them around the village), information on who can help you with what and regularly updated news section with all the issues of Blagdon Views available to download. You can even arrange to have the agenda and minutes emailed to you.

Parish post box

Don’t forget that you can post your suggestions, questions and even your critical views at the Post Office for free. The parish post box is emptied regularly and the clerk will respond within 14 days to every letter (well 99% anyway).
